Better Tags and Keywords for Re-Shares

So I wanted to share an article that I thought some of you Keep Creating Fun followers would appreciate.

When it was all ready to go I realized that I’d needed some appropriate hashtags so it could be found by anyone looking for the topic.

This got me thinking that finding hashtags isn’t as simple as it should be. I even ended up searching for “Relevant hashtags for this site”, “How to easily find hashtags” and “How to get hashtags and keywords from a webpage.” Needless to say, this was not only time consuming, but it took me off track.

I didn’t even finish my post.

The upside is that I did this instead 😊 and now I’m sharing it with you!

I just created a tool we can use called:

How to quickly drive traffic with better tags and keywords for your re-shared social media posts.

Ok so that name might be a little long 😉

Enjoy the Better Tags & Keywords for Re-Shares GPT

(on ChatGPT, works with free account!).

Use this tool from Keep Creating Fun for immediate, up-to-date popularity metrics in one click! Just paste the website address (URL) that you want to share and get a copy/paste recommendation.

Note that this tool uses the most current recommendations for posts. Namely that:

1. Instagram Hashtags

  • Still used, but much fewer than before.

  • Instagram leadership has said hashtags mostly categorize content rather than increase reach.

  • The current guidance is 3–5 highly relevant hashtags, not long lists.

  • Instagram is apparently even limiting posts to about 5 hashtags to reduce spam.

2. Pinterest Hashtags

  • Pinterest now behaves more like a search engine than a hashtag platform.

  • Keywords drive discovery, not hashtags.

  • Some guidance even says hashtags are not recommended anymore.

So for Pinterest what is useful is usually:

  • keyword phrases

  • search terms

  • optionally a few hashtags if you want them
